WELCOME!!!!

MONSERRAT VILLAGE
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful farm in the middle of the village, called Monserrat.

There live many wonderful people that take care of the farm and its surroundings.

The animals were happy to live there, especially the ones in and around San Francisco River.

Some years later, a factory was built very close to the river.
Unfortunately, many people started to come to the village and a city appears, with its technology and pollution.

The river began to be polluted and the farm people and animals were worried about.

People in the village got together to fight against pollution and proposed ecological farming.

Finally, they were heard and the village shared its beautiful life with an ecological city.

WATER POLLUTION

LET’S CLEAN THE WATER!

Introduction

Do you know that pollution in rivers and oceans are caused by the trash we throw every day?
You and your partner will learn about the different forms to help cleaning the water of our rivers and oceans. Use the links below to help you and your partner learn more about these processes.

Task:

During this trimester, we have been learning about Environmental Education.  Your job for today is to make a double side poster about a place you have visited that has pollution and how it will change if people clean it, and write down some good ideas.

Process:

1.      We will talk about places you have visited, like national parks, rivers, beaches.
2.      We will pick partners to work with, remember to work quietly and stay focused!
3.      The two of you will look at the websites to see the pictures of the different places with pollution.
4.      Once you have looked at all the sites, go around the school and interview some teachers: Have you visited a polluted river? beach? How it makes you feel? Would you like to help? How?
5.      Make sure you write down the comments!
6.      Talk with your partner about what you have learned and help each other write 4 complete sentences about what you learned.
